Robert Chase's father, Rowan, left Robert to take care of his alcoholic mother when he was 8. Rowan saw Chase when he was at PPTH to see Wilson because of lung cancer, but didn't tell Chase he had the cancer. Chase found out Rowan died two months later when he got a phone call from his stepmum from Australia.
